Making things is terrible. And lovely. I could not have done this without some very good friends who cheered me on, even when I wanted to quit, even when I had no more spoons, even when I was so depressed by my actual work; I never thought I’d be able to laugh again.

If you are lucky enough to find a community that allows you to be your whole unhinged self, hang onto them.
